So thankful for Bek and his team! Finally closed escrow on a home and were looking for a moving company. There was a lot of messaging back and forth because we were not 100% sure when the seller would be completely out of the home and knew that many companies were being booked in advance. I hired Crystal Moving to help me move this past weekend, and they were great! Bek had a really good and cheery attitude and was very efficient yet careful with packing and unpacking my stuff. This included a 65 inch tv that I was nervous about moving. They padded it up and everything no problem! Professional, skilled, and amazing people! We had 2 large containers parked on our drive way full of our furniture and stuffs and we hired Crystal Moving to help us move the stuffs out into our new home. 1. Professional and responsive – due to our messy calendar, we had to reschedule our moving day a few times. Crystal Moving were very patient with us and very responsive to our text/call. 2. Fast and powerful – strong, fast, and powerful people and while been causations not to cause damage to my home or items during moving. 3. Skilled with furniture assemble – I have a few large furniture (e.g. king size bed frame) that if we were to assemble by ourselves, it would take us at least 2 hours. Crystal movers put everything together without needing instructing within 30 minutes! 4. No overweight fee, no hidden fee – alot of movers has these “if x item exceed y weight, extra charge applies”. How do you pack fragile or high-value items?

Fragile items should be those defined by you to be breakable or high-value (such as dishes, glassware, artwork, fragile furniture, mirrors, etc.). Ensure that all the items in your home are packed by experts using the most up-to-date packing methods and materials in the industry.

What can you tell me about your workers?

Quality movers will have extensive coverage for workers compensation, so you don’t have to worry about being sued if a worker gets hurt while on the job. Also, choose a company that performs background checks on its workers – after all, you’re letting them into your home. This is a preemptive measure taken to ensure only the most reputable, professional workers enter your home, including packers, drivers, movers, coordinators and other staff.

What should I know about the pick-up of my furniture?

Be present until your furniture is loaded.

Look at the mover’s description of your furniture on the inventory and ensure the mover denotes items that are chipped, marred, dented, scratched, etc.

Make certain the items’ conditions are listed on both the driver’s copy and your copy of the inventory sheet—but more importantly on the driver’s copy.

Make certain all goods to be moved are listed on the inventory sheet.

When is the best time to move?

The busiest times for moving companies are typically during the summer months, May-September. If you are planning a move during that time you should make arrangements early.

Friday and Saturdays are big moving days so if you have flexibility in your schedule it can be easier to get a date during the week rather than a weekend.

How much do you tip your movers?

The movers do accept tips. Industry standard is 10-15% of the moving job which they divide up evenly.
